Non-Profit in Baltimore

This client based in Baltimore was in need of a new surveillance system for their property. They had another surveillance/alarm company install a 42 camera system just a few years ago but it was not living up to their needs and they requested that we remove their current hardware and upgrade them to an IP based system as well as provide them with an additional 39 cameras.

We offered them an Acti IP solution. This converted them over to IP from their current analog system at a price that was comparable. It also provides them with highly increased image quality and the ability to pan, zoom and tilt the recorded footage. We provided them with 65 Acti 3211 dome cameras for inside the school and 16 Acti 1231 cameras. We offered domes for inside the school because they provide a nice cosmetic look and have hidden infra-red illuminators in order to provide us with coverage in complete darkness. Outside the school, we offered bullet style cameras because on the outside of building, their look announces that the cameras are present and this can be a deterrent in and of itself.

All of the footage is sent to servers and recorded locally. Within the software, we can view footage from any one camera at a time and all the way up to 16 cameras per monitor at a time. IP footage can also be manipulated after it has been recorded, unlike its analog predecessor. If an incident needs to be reviewed, the client can zoom directly to the exact moment and area where the incident occurred with minimal image loss or blur.

This worked out to be a perfect solution for their needs. We were able to meet their immediate needs as well as provide them with technology that will be cutting edge for years to come. We were also able to stay well below their budget which in today’s economy is very important.
